SMARELIO presents a completely new, smart monitoring technology for façade glass (insulating glass). The self-sufficient, wireless alarm module for insulating glass panes detects glass breakage, vibration, tilt and opening at the window and issues an alarm immediately.

The special feature of the “SMARELIO Protect” module compared to other products is its complete integration into the insulating glass unit. It is inserted as part of the spacer bar during the production of the insulating glass. The module is equipped with a radio chip, which allows information to be transmitted wirelessly to an alarm center (smart home).
The sensor detects any change in the actual state – it can detect both glass breakage and vibration, and it also has a displacement measurement function that monitors the tilt and opening of a window or sliding door.

The energy supply is realized via a combination of solar cells and electrical buffer storage, so that a completely wireless and self-sufficient operation of the alarm module is possible. Thanks to a special energy management system, the module can be operated completely autonomously for more than 21 days at a time, even without light, when monitoring and communication with the alarm control panel is active. It has also been designed in such a way that even weak light can maintain operation and artificial lighting can also charge the alarm module.

The status of the glass with regard to breakage and levering out is monitored cyclically. The alarm module communicates securely with almost any central control unit via the EnOcean wireless standard. Our supplied gateway allows the module to be integrated into all common smart home and alarm systems. If neither a smart home nor an alarm system is available, control and monitoring can be carried out via our free Smarelio app.

Integration into the edge seal is possible from a cavity of 12 mm. Smarelio Protect is supplied pre-assembled on the desired spacer profile (140mm) and is available exclusively with EDUARD KRONENBERG GmbH connecting elements.
